The derasa clam is one of the easiest Tridacna clams to care for. They prefer to sit in the sand bed, and mostly rely on photosynthesis to survive, just like a coral. They also feed on live phytoplankton.
Recommended par between 100-200 or higher. Clams are heavy alkalinity consumers - test regularly!
These are slow growing but will eventually reach a size of 12-24"
